Bury St Edmunds Solicitors Have Fun

Well, they relax and wind down, anyway. Spending a couple of hours socialising with local accountants at their premises last Friday evening, we met some fascinating people.

Now I know that accountants and solicitors have a reputation for being, shall we say, 'steady', 'reliable' and dare I say, even a little dull, but for every stereotype there are plenty of exceptions.

Those were the ones we met on Friday.

So we had fun talking with a room full of Bury St Edmunds solicitors and accountants. No, really, we did!

Whether we met the future owners of our Solicitors Bury St Edmunds website, or the upcoming Best Accountants site, you will have to wait and see.

Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds

Glancing through the Yellow Pages (it still has its uses), we were surprised to see just how many solicitors' firms there are in Bury St Edmunds.

So far, we haven't found a one that doesn't have a website, but as we've said elsewhere, there's more to online marketing than having a website.

Some firms have clearly had some good advice from online marketing experts and have a place on page one. A good many others don't feature in the first two pages and some of those will be wondering why.

That's we we created the website for Solicitors Bury St Edmunds - to give one local client a place in the first two pages of Google.

That's a start, anyway. Continued and skilfull work will get our Bury St Edmunds solicitor more than just a good Google placement.

Exactly what else is involved will be between ourselves and our clients, and depends what they have in place already, but they can rest assured that with Cinnamon Edge on their team, better results guaranteed.

Accident Claims with Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds

Not all lawyers' firms cover personal injury claims, and how can you know which accident claim solicitor in Bury St Edmunds is going to be the best one for you? You are more likely to get the person you need by asking a few simple questions.

1. Are they qualified to handle your accident claim?

2. Are they going to take any charges from you and will they claim out of pocket expenses?

3. What will happen if you lose?

4. Will they push to get things settled out of court (if that is what you prefer)?

So, make sure your accident solicitor specialises in the area of law that’s particular to your case – in this instance, personal injury. Are they up to date with current trends? Do they have the relevant specialised terminology?

Your solicitor will ask you to sign a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA): check they are going to claim fees from your opponent rather than from any compensation you receive in settlement – the Access to Justice Act is designed to help you in this respect. If you have ‘reasonable’ costs, your solicitor should be responsible for them and claim them from your opponent if you win. These costs include out of pocket expenses such as medical treatment asked for by your solicitor, and telephone and your solicitor’s overtime charges.

Solicitors’ fees are expensive, so think what will happen if you lose? If this happens, you will be responsible for the fees accrued thus far. Will your solicitor insure your claim against the chances that you may lose, or will you need to take out insurance yourself? Don’t just accept assurances that ‘you can’t possibly lose’.

Discuss with your Bury St Edmunds solicitor whether to pursue action out of court or in it over your accident compensation claim. If they don’t agree with your wishes, make sure they explain why, and that you feel all right going with their recommendations.
