A Professional Presence for Your Legal Practice

Our Bury St Edmunds Solicitors directory is now just about finished and the first enhanced listing can be seen here: http://solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk/ghp-solicitors-norwich/

We've added basic information on just about every legal firm we could find in the Bury St Edmunds area, so if you're a lawyer based in or near Bury St Edmunds please take a minute to check we've added you and that the information is correct and up to date.

You might want us to add more information in an enhanced listing, especially as we expect the site to become established on page one of Google. This will give you a whole page dedicated to your practice in a thoroughly professional manner you can be proud of. You can have your own banner and other branding, too, making your page a self-contained website in its own right, but for a lot less than an equivalent site.

Naturally, if you want to upgrade, improve or replace your main website we'll be happy to talk to you about that as well, and our other marketing and promotional services are at your disposal, too.

So, please visit the Solicitors Bury St Edmunds site and check the details, and contact us at info@cinnamonedge.co.uk if you want anything changed or you want to add more. We expect the enhanced listings to bring the most traffic and business, but the basic listing is totally free.

Still Not on Page One?

It's some time since we paid any attention to our temporary solicitors' website, at www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk but, as you can see from the screenshot taken this morning, it's still on page one of the Google search results:
This means that, unless you're one of the two solicitors' firms who also feature in the organic listings on that page, that you have the opportunity to grab a prized page one spot today.

Incidentally, we still get calls from people wanting a solicitor, despite the listing clearly telling everyone it's for sale, and despite the very temporary appearance of the website!

With over sixty percent of people making their initial enquiries online, page one of Google is a valuable place to be, even for traditional professions like yours. You could be receiving those enquiries and gaining clients, especially with a real website in place of our temporary one!

Through a process known as domain forwarding you can have this page one spot, taking potential clients directly to your own website, just a few hours from now. Alternatively, we can build you a brand new site on the domain www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk. Just call or email us now to discuss your choices.

Call 01284 753912 or email info@cinnamonedge.co.uk today to discuss rental or purchase options.

Free Website for Bury St Edmunds Solicitors

There still seems to be some confusion about what we're offering our Bury St Edmunds Solicitor clients, so I thought I would make it easier by including more!

So you will now get a free, three-page website included in your one year rental fees. The new site can be designed to match or harmonise with your existing site.

That means you don't have to think about getting a new website designed, or copying your existing site onto http://www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk/

It also means you can ignore the site that's there now and just imagine what it will be like to have YOUR new website featuring on page one or two of Google, bringing you more visitors, more enquiries and more potential clients.

We've already discounted the price (a little) by giving you twelve months' possession of the site for ten months' rent. That deal still stands, too, making the price for your new website just £1950 for a whole year.

I think I've made the offer as simple as I can, but if you want any more clarification or to discuss any other options, please do get in touch!

Update on Our Bury St Edmunds Solicitors Site

I made a few minor changes to the website today, having contacted several potential clients again this morning.

I made some more changes because the Solicitors Bury St Edmunds website is still generating legal enquiries for us, despite the very clear messages on it it to say 'This Site Could be Yours'.

We're not solicitors, of course, and that means you could have the website, the Google Places listing (which has a top spot) and possibly even this blog (which gives the main site some valuable 'link juice'), all for less than the value of one new client each month.

Find out more on the Cinnamon Edge blog and on the website itself.

Remember, you may not want that particular website but you DO want its position on page one of Google - and that's what we're offering!

More Enquiries for Bury St Edmunds Solicitors

One of the things I've noticed recently is how many Bury St Edmunds Solicitors haven't yet claimed and verified their Google Places (formerly Google Local Business Centre) listing. If you don't understand what Google Places is, go here.

Solicitors are taking a real risk by not claiming it, but I imagine a lot of firms don't even know they have a Google Places listing in the first place. This is because Google will often create an entry for a company by taking information from other sources, like directories and the company's own website.

Unfortunately, Google often gets it wrong and puts a company in the wrong place on the map. Even when they get it right it means there is a listing for your company that anyone can come along and tamper with. If you click on the 'More' tab alongside your company's unclaimed listing you'll see the option to 'Edit this entry'.

Anyone can edit the listing and it's not difficult for them to claim it as their own. Meaning someone could easily post untrue or damaging information about your company on 'your' page.

So, if your listing is unclaimed, claim it!

I was so alarmed by this that I recently emailed several solicitors firms in Bury St Edmunds to tell them about the threat to their business.

(Incidentally, the top listing in Google Places for solicitors in Bury St Edmunds belongs to us - showing that not only do we know how to use Google Places but that by claiming a listing and optimising it, you can quite quickly climb the 'charts' - number one is obviously the best place to be!)

While our Places listing is top of page one, our http://www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk/ website is now top of page two and climbing and now displays a 'for sale' board. Your practice could own or rent this domain (that's negotiable) and have your own website there but act quickly because the price will rise as soon as it hits page one...

If you think your solicitors' practice could benefit from a top-ranking domain (that brings us actual enquiries which we currently forward to real solicitors), call the number on the site.

Proof, if Proof Were Needed

We had a call yesterday from a company looking for solicitors in Bury St Edmunds. You may or may not know that we're not actually solicitors at all, but a marketing and business consultancy looking to help your firm of solicitors make more impact in your industry.

But we have a solicitors website www.solicitorsburystedmunds that features high up in the search engine results, so it was quite natural for this company to call us.

For most visitors, the current site is clearly not connected to any one firm or partnership, but it could be - and being on page one of Google means people looking for a solicitor in the town are very likely to find it.

So, while the site is nothing special, that's very much a temporary thing. The point is, the website address (domain) and its page one slot could be yours. It could easily point to your existing website if you're happy with that or you could have an entirely new site built for your business at www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk.

Remember, people searching for a legal help in Bury St Edmunds probably won't know or remember your name, but they will know they need a solicitor.

So, if you have a solicitors practice in or near Bury St Edmunds get in touch, before your competitors do.

Are You Making 'Obscene' Profits from the Law?

I don't suppose you really want to answer that. And if you are a partner in a firm of solicitors you may not be making much as money as you'd like at the moment.

And actually, we find a lot of legal professionals are squeamish about declaring their intention to make any profit at all. This, despite the years of training, undoubted talent and continuing need for good lawyers.

So, for a law firm, discretion is usually a key part of their marketing strategy. Something some marketers find hard to deal with. After all, how can you advertise discreetly and effectively?

That's why we don't just offer advertising, or even marketing, as a package or a la carte.

Instead, through Business Profits Jumpstart and Cinnamon Edge, we offer firms like yours a thorough examination of your business and a diagnosis of just where you might be letting profits slip through your fingers. There are almost always hidden profit opportunities, too, even in a regulated profession like Law, and we'll help you tease those out as well.

Meanwhile, the best solicitors in Bury St Edmunds might like to take advantage of the best website domain available, at http://www.solicitorsburystedmunds.co.uk/, where we currently have a temporary website and domain for sale, just waiting for its new owners to make their mark and, however discreetly, make an impact in providing legal services for Bury St Edmunds.

You see, you don't necessarily have to shout about your presence to have a presence - you just need to be visible, as our solicitors' website already is. Even if you have a website already, as you probably do, having that website address pointing at it will be a very useful start to getting more clients and making more profits. Even if you'd rather keep quiet about it.

Roy

PS. Contact us by email or phone if you'd like to discuss any aspect of your business or its marketing, or if you would like to be THE solicitor for Bury St Edmunds by having our website reallocated to your firm or partnership.

Bury St Edmunds Solicitors Have Fun

Well, they relax and wind down, anyway. Spending a couple of hours socialising with local accountants at their premises last Friday evening, we met some fascinating people.

Now I know that accountants and solicitors have a reputation for being, shall we say, 'steady', 'reliable' and dare I say, even a little dull, but for every stereotype there are plenty of exceptions.

Those were the ones we met on Friday.

So we had fun talking with a room full of Bury St Edmunds solicitors and accountants. No, really, we did!

Whether we met the future owners of our Solicitors Bury St Edmunds website, or the upcoming Best Accountants site, you will have to wait and see.

Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds

Glancing through the Yellow Pages (it still has its uses), we were surprised to see just how many solicitors' firms there are in Bury St Edmunds.

So far, we haven't found a one that doesn't have a website, but as we've said elsewhere, there's more to online marketing than having a website.

Some firms have clearly had some good advice from online marketing experts and have a place on page one. A good many others don't feature in the first two pages and some of those will be wondering why.

That's we we created the website for Solicitors Bury St Edmunds - to give one local client a place in the first two pages of Google.

That's a start, anyway. Continued and skilfull work will get our Bury St Edmunds solicitor more than just a good Google placement.

Exactly what else is involved will be between ourselves and our clients, and depends what they have in place already, but they can rest assured that with Cinnamon Edge on their team, better results guaranteed.

Accident Claims with Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds

Not all lawyers' firms cover personal injury claims, and how can you know which accident claim solicitor in Bury St Edmunds is going to be the best one for you? You are more likely to get the person you need by asking a few simple questions.

1. Are they qualified to handle your accident claim?

2. Are they going to take any charges from you and will they claim out of pocket expenses?

3. What will happen if you lose?

4. Will they push to get things settled out of court (if that is what you prefer)?

So, make sure your accident solicitor specialises in the area of law that’s particular to your case – in this instance, personal injury. Are they up to date with current trends? Do they have the relevant specialised terminology?

Your solicitor will ask you to sign a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA): check they are going to claim fees from your opponent rather than from any compensation you receive in settlement – the Access to Justice Act is designed to help you in this respect. If you have ‘reasonable’ costs, your solicitor should be responsible for them and claim them from your opponent if you win. These costs include out of pocket expenses such as medical treatment asked for by your solicitor, and telephone and your solicitor’s overtime charges.

Solicitors’ fees are expensive, so think what will happen if you lose? If this happens, you will be responsible for the fees accrued thus far. Will your solicitor insure your claim against the chances that you may lose, or will you need to take out insurance yourself? Don’t just accept assurances that ‘you can’t possibly lose’.

Discuss with your Bury St Edmunds solicitor whether to pursue action out of court or in it over your accident compensation claim. If they don’t agree with your wishes, make sure they explain why, and that you feel all right going with their recommendations.

Find the Best Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds

One way to find the best solicitors in Bury St Edmunds is to ask for recommendations. Those recommendations can come from family, friends and associates who have engaged a solicitor for a situation similar to your own.

Legal firms provide assistance to a wide variety of issues regarding businesses and other important transactions and your best solicitor for one issue might not be so well qualified to help you with something else.

And despite being considered as one of the best white-collared professions, there are still some frauds who try to sell legal advice and services, so people must be careful when it comes to finding genuine solicitors.

If your solicitor works here in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, you stand a good chance of finding out if someone is unscrupulous – in small towns, people talk.

Ask for recommendations from friends and colleagues; go on the Internet and look for reviews and testimonials. Also compare prices and services offered for those prices. Find out about their specialisms...and if they have time to deal with your case. If you don’t feel comfortable with or confident in your solicitor, ask to see someone else.

The best solicitors will advise you who can help you with your legal questions, even if that's not them. And if you don't know who to approach in the first place go to Best Solicitors Bury St Edmunds to make a start.

You can even find out if you need a solicitor at all, thanks to a free guide downloadable from the site.
